Do I need a consultation before my beauty treatment?
For many of our more advanced treatments — particularly our AlumierMD facials and chemical peels — a skin consultation is required before your first appointment. This allows our therapist to properly assess your skin, understand your concerns and goals, and recommend the safest and most effective treatment plan for you.
For standard beauty treatments such as waxing, manicures, and spray tan, a consultation is not required, though a patch test may be needed (see below).
Do I need a patch test for tinting, lash lift, eyebrow lamination, or spray tan?
Yes — a patch test is required at least 24–48 hours before your appointment for tinting treatments, LVL Lash Lift, Brow Lamination, and Sienna X Spray Tan. Please follow the link on our booking page to book your patch test in advance. We cannot carry out these treatments without a valid patch test on record.
How long does an LVL Lash Lift last?
An LVL Lash Lift is a low-maintenance treatment that lifts, curls, and defines your natural lashes without the need for extensions. Results last for the full natural growth cycle of your eyelashes — typically 6 to 8 weeks. We recommend booking your next appointment around this time to maintain the look.

Is Brow Lamination suitable for everyone?
Brow Lamination works best for those with unruly brows that grow in different directions, or anyone wanting to create a fuller, more defined "fluffy" look. It's less suited to very sparse or very fine brow hair. If you're unsure whether it's right for you, a consultation or patch test appointment at our Morningside studio can help determine the best approach.

How should I prepare for my Sienna X spray tan?
For the best and most even result, please exfoliate and moisturise your whole body 24 hours before your appointment. On the day of your tan, arrive with clean, dry skin — free from deodorant, perfume, or moisturiser, as these can affect how the tan develops.
A patch test is required 24–48 hours before your first spray tan appointment. Full preparation guidelines are available on our booking page when you book.

What kind of polish do you use for your manicures and pedicures at Sano Studio?
We only use high-quality, vegan and cruelty-free professional products across all our beauty treatments. Our nail services use a beautiful range of long-lasting vegan polishes and gel options. Please ask your therapist about our current colour selection when you visit — we update our range regularly.

What is the difference between hot wax and strip wax?
At our Morningside waxing studio we use both types of wax, selecting the most appropriate method for each area:
Hot wax is applied thickly and removed on its own without a strip. It adheres to the hair rather than the skin, making it significantly more comfortable for sensitive areas such as the bikini line, underarms, and face.
Strip wax is applied thinly and removed with a paper strip. It's ideal for larger, less sensitive areas such as legs and arms, where speed and efficiency are the priority.
