Mike Wicks

Reformer & Mat Pilates Instructor

Mike was introduced to Pilates as the perfect rehabilitation after he broke his ankle in a

rock-climbing accident 17 years ago. This event was the start of a journey into a life of

fitness, aided by regular Pilates sessions.


Mike also had a long-standing desire to teach, and found his calling with Pilates, gaining a

CYQ Diploma in Mat Pilates teacher in 2014, being trained as a STOTT Mat Pilates Teacher in

2022, and finally as a STOTT Reformer Pilates Teacher in 2025.


Mike enjoys many outdoor activities such as regular cross-county running and occasional

“Munro Bagging”, and has found that regular Pilates sessions bring many positive benefits

to these activities, such as improved recovery times, lower impact on the body, and more

effective application of muscle effort to the activity.


Mike brings his personal experience of the benefits of Pilates to his classes, combined with

his boundless enthusiasm and infectious wit!
